Hoosier Heat Impact Perfomers

A few players from the Hooiser Heat tournament we felt had impact performances:

2022

2022 5’6 PG Miller Brown (Team B-Wright) Scrappy point guard who handles the ball well with both hands and shoots the lights out from 3. Has a very quick trigger and good range from the arc. 


2022 6’1 PF Alphonsia Eleko (Lady Phoenix CBA United) Very skilled scorer, showing the ability to score consistently from the post & perimeter. She has a soft touch inside using a variety of moves while getting good position. She complements this part of her game by knocking down outside shots at a high clip & looks comfortable on the outside. 

2022 5’9 PG Kymora Johnson (West Virginia Thunder) Physical, well-rounded guard who can score from all 3 levels. Takes care of the basketball & has a tight handle going either direction using her strong frame & quickness to create separation. Tough nosed guard and great leader!

2022 6’0 SG Merideth Maier (West Virginia Thunder) Big shooting guard with a quick release and the ability to shoot off the catch or dribble. Also flashed scoring moves from the low & mid post with back to basket and face-up game. Plus rebounder from the guard position.

2022 5’10 PG Rayah Kincer (Indiana Flight 17U GUAA) Combo guard that can guard multiple positions & is comfortable handling pressure. Gets into the lane off the bounce with great change of pace to both finish & dish to open teammates. Great motor and was on the floor for loose balls often. Completes her game with the ability to knock down shots from behind the arc. 


2022 5’8 G Brenna Dugans (Example Sports Wolfpack) Great rebounding guard that’s crafty around the basket and finishes well. She also shoots the 3 off the catch or dribble equally. Doesn’t mind getting physical in the paint and does a great job boxing out.

2023

2023 5’7 PG Angelica Velez (New Heights NYC Blue 17u) Great floor general & communicator who loves to breakdown defenders & find teammates for open looks. Defends hard & flashed athleticism finishing at the rim. 

2023 5’10 SG Grace Sunback (New Heights NYC Blue 17u)  Knockdown shooter that is also able to slash & finish both ways. Very nice handle, can break down defenders and handle pressure. Great size at the guard position, competes hard. 

2023 6’1 SG Qadence Samuels (Team Takeover 17U EYBL) Lanky guard with ELITE athleticism. Knocks down shots from both 3 & mid-range & has a great nose for offensive rebounding. High major kid.

2023 6’4 F/C Eve Fiala (Western PA Bruins) Moves very well and shows ability to guard on perimeter. Can knock down the mid-range and uses wide body to finish strong at the basket. 

2023 5’8 PG Timberlynn Yeast (West Virginia Thunder 16U GUAA) Long, slashing guard with a lightning quick first step. Plays with high intensity & can go either way off the bounce to the hole. Plus court vision, and rebounder for her position.

2023 5’8 PG McKenna Ferguson (MBA UA Rise 2023) Quick, scrappy guard who handles pressure and consistently finishes through traffic with either hand. She has a nice handle and showed the ability to knock down shots from the arc. 

2023 6’0 PG Macy Brown (MBA UA Rise 2023) Tall, left-handed guard with great length that scores from the mid-range & 3 with DEEP range. Plays with high IQ & finishes well at the rim. 

2024

2024 5’8 PG Caitlyn Washington (Example Sports UA 15u) Poised point who handles the ball with both hands confidently. She can knock down shots from 3 at a high clip & has a nice repertoire of finishing moves around the rim including nice touch on floaters. 

2024 5’10 G Braxcynn Baker (MBA UA Rise 2024) Tall guard who can absolutely shoot the lights out. Good footwork on catch & shoot and off of cuts. Handles the ball well with both hands & has NBA 3-point range.
