2022 5’7 PG Sophie Sullivan capped off her sophomore season at Montini Catholic High School (IL) with an impressive 3rd place finish at state in class 3A. On a team that had a ton of talent, Sullivan emerged as a true leader and captain on the floor for the Lady Broncos. Sophie plays the point guard position like a true PG. She looks to get her teammates involved early and often creating offense on the drive and off the pass. She also shoots the three point shot at a high percentage. This makes it tough for opposing teams to contain her because she can stretch the floor with her shot, as well as beat defenders off the dribble. As a point guard, she commands the floor and gets her team into the proper sets on offense. One of her biggest assets is her ability to compete on both sides of the ball. Sophie is high energy on offense and defense, which is due to the great shape that she’s in. On the defensive end, she plays with high intensity throughout the game. She plays good on the ball and is in proper position when playing off the ball. You will always here her communicating with her team and letting them know what’s next. She’s a willing rebounder and loves to take charges while sacrificing her body. Her understanding of the game and high IQ is a reason Sophie is and will continue to progress throughout her high school career. Some college will definitely be getting a good one in Sophie Sullivan! #@SophieSully3 #@UP
