2023 5’8 PG Lisa Thompson completed a phenomenal freshman year at Joliet West High School (IL). In her first year, she led the Lady Tigers to a 29-4 record as the point guard and did an excellent job being the quarterback for her team. Thompson can score the ball on all three levels, but her best asset might be her ability to get her teammates involved. She did an excellent job throughout the season finding others when they were open, as well as picking her spots to create for herself. Lisa can get to the basket with the best of them and does so with her dribbling ability and athleticism. She also is creative when finishing around the basket. Thompson can finish with both hands and over defenders when driving. Even as a freshman, Thompson can stretch the floor and shoot the three efficiently and effectively. Her soft touch is showcased with her smooth release. Defensively, Lisa affects the game in a variety of ways. She uses her length and quickness to make it hard for opponents and she plays the passing lane very well. An underrated part of her game is her ability to rebound. She can rebound with bigs with her high vertical leap and get out and run. This helps her team get out in transition faster. She’s already one of the top freshman in the state and will make her mark as one of the countries top players when her high school career is over! #@lisa_izlit23 #@UP
