11/1/20 Example Sports T.A.P. Write Ups

While covering the Example Sports “Train and Play” workouts that they have been hosting on Sunday, here are a few players that shined during this Sundays (November 1st, 2020) workouts.

  • 2021 F Claudia Gallegos Neuqua Valley HS(IL) had a great showing by using her size and length to control the paint. She rebounded both ends of the floor well and finished at the rim. Claudia also ran the floor well in transition, allowing her to get easy baskets. She altered shots and was good at walling up when opposing players attacked the basket.

  • 2025 PG Kiaya Johnson has a bright future ahead of her. She impressed every game with her high motor, quick and attacking style at the point guard position. She’s relentless when driving the ball to the basket and very crafty when in traffic. She stretched the floor with her jump shot and made good passes to teammates when they were open. Johnson had great quickness on defense and guarded full court.

  • 2022 F Thaya Luse Aurora Christian HS(IL) was a beast all day. She dominated the paint every game with her rebounding and physical strength. Her high energy and motor was on display all day and she used it on offense and defense. Luse pushed in transition and even facilitated on offense. She also knocked down the three so she showcased all facets of her game.

  • 2023 PG Kennise Johnson Plainfield Central HS(IL) was exciting to watch. She’s very flashy with her moves and was phenomenal when driving to the basket. Her handle and shiftiness made it tough for defenders to stay in front of her. She also threaded the needle on some passes that wouldn’t normally make it through tight spaces. Johnson played fearless on defense, with tons of energy and effort. She brought it on both sides of the ball.

  • 2022 G Cencere McDaniel Marist HS(IL) showcased tremendously throughout the day. Offensively, her confidence rose each game and she became more aggressive in her decision making. She made an impact on all three levels by knocking down shots from deep, as well as scoring from midrange and at the rim. She used her size well when rebounding and guarded well on defense. Overall, McDaniel had a productive day!

  • 2022 G Emma Moya DePaul College Prep(IL) had a positive and productive day. She showcased her high IQ on many occasions and did well with reading defenses while taking what the defense gave her. She was very efficient with her jump shot and shot it well from behind the arc. Moye also made good passes and found teammates when they were open.

  • 2022 F Evan Pittman Lincoln Way West HS(IL) was a force in the paint. She used her size to control and take advantage of her opposing players. She had plenty of put backs after grabbing offensive rebounds and was able to finish around the basket with both hands. Evan also shot over smaller defenders when posting up and showed her soft touch by knocking down midrange shots.

  • 2022 F Brianna Wooldridge Fremd HS(IL) played like she was on a mission. She was too much for opposing players as she used her physical strength and mobility to create plays off the bounce. Her ability to stretch the floor made it hard for defenders to stop her. Wooldridge was also able to make plays in the open court for herself and teammates. She blocked and altered shots and also switched out onto perimeter players with little to no problems.
